CANADA DATA: Employment gains in June remained marginal for the
second straight month with the economy adding 7.3k jobs. A decrease in
the labour force pulled the unemployment rate down to 7.2% from 7.3%. FT
employment +29.3k, while PT -22k. All gains resulted from the
service-producing sector, +28.4k compared to -21.2k in the
goods-producing sector. Top contributors to the increase were business,
building and other support services (+24.2k), health care and social
assistance (+19.9k), educational services (+19.3k) and utilities
(+7.4k).

CANADA DATA: Building permits issued for May jumped 7.4%, reaching
the highest level since May 2007. An increase in residential (+8.5%) and
non-residential (+6.0%) building intentions led the advance.
