Hint that Canada will freeze arms exports
Earlier Trudeau hinted there would be no freeze on the armored personnel carriers that Canada sells to Saudi Arabia because cancelling the order would cost more than $1 billion (plus the jobs).
However Freeland seems to be singing a different tune. Canada-Saudi relations have been deeply strained for months.
I'm sure there's an arms exporter somewhere else that's happy to pick up the slack.
