Freeland was in Europe
Canadian NAFTA negotiator Freeland cut short a trip from Europe to fly to Washington to resume NAFTA talks.
Trump spread some serious confusion today on NAFTA but Lighthizer is sending a different set of messages. My guess is that Trump is being 'handled' by the people doing the negotiation but there could be something deeper there. The risk is certainly that Canada is given a rough ride.
