The Huawei mess continues to haunt Canada
The latest dip in oil is likely the driver of fresh session highs in USD/CAD but this story can't be discounted either.
Reuters reports that China has cancelled a shipment of canola that was halted.
Oilseeds like canola, fruit and grain are Canada's biggest China export category, making up nearly 17% of all exports in 2017. The Chinese buy about C$2.5 billion of Canadian canola each year.
Earlier this week, Canada decided it would pursue the extradition of Huawei's CFO.
