China is considering sending Vice commerce minister Wang Shouwen. The thought was that they would send the Vice Premier Lui He.
Treasury Secretary Mnuchin was to meet with Lui He, but now that a lower level representative may be sent, that will likely scale back the US representative too.
The good news is the meetings might not be totally called off (the US may say "don't bother coming if you are not serious"). The bad news is that the last time the lower level representative came, little was accomplished.
