And says that the increase in exports also may be caused by front-loading on trade dispute concerns. They mentioned that the country's trade fundamentals have not changed because of the trade dispute. In other words, they're pinning it down to factors out of their control.
China's trade surplus to the US grew to a record in August, with exports showing little signs of slowing down despite trade tariffs being introduced.
Should we see further widening in that surplus heading into year-end, it'll only serve to draw the ire from Trump even more surely.
