This week marks the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square demonstrations and Reuters report that China is disrupting Google’s search engine and gmail systems in the run up.

Aside from this action China still blocks Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

While the Chinese embark on opening up their markets, stories like this just go to remind us that there’s still plenty of things left that China keeps strong control over.
