China Official Manufacturing PMI: 49.7 (49.7 expected) & Non-manufacturing 53.4 (prior 53.9)

These are the official PMIs, released by China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and National Bureau of Statistics

Manufacturing PMI for August right on expectations at 49.7, lower on the month

• expected is 49.7
• prior was 50.0

Non-manufacturing PMI for August slightly down on last month at 53.4

• prior was 53.9

The manufacturing PMI is at its lowest in 3 years, and this move into contraction is for the first time in 6 months
