CHINA PRESS: Chinese banks may have extended only around CNY700 billion
in new loans in February, the China Securities Journal reported
Wednesday, though lending activity activity may have been crimped by the
New Year holiday which dominated the month. The People’s Bank of China
is expected to publish last month’s new loan data this week.
