Canada is signing trade deals everywhere

Last year Canada signed a free trade deal with Europe. In January, Canada rejoined TPP in a massive free trade deal. Now, China wants to come back to the table to strike a free trade deal with Canada.

The nations had attempted to open talks last year but they were quickly derailed. Now, the Globe & Mail reports that China has tried to restart talks.

"Finance Minister Bill Morneau spent time at the World Economic Forum in the Swiss Alps last week with Liu He, the trusted confidant and top economic adviser to Chinese President Xi Jinping."

They also cited a number of other meetings that were referenced in a statement China's embassy in Canada posted on its website this week and point to free trade talks.
