BERLIN (MNI) – Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao believes that
Europe will overcome its current crisis, he said in a draft for a speech
to be delivered at a German-Chinese conference here on Tuesday.
Wen stressed that it is of strategical importance for China and
Europe to work together more closely.
“Some EU states are in economic difficulties,” Wen observed. “But
these are of a temporary nature,” he reckoned.
“The EU, with its strong real economy, ample scientific and
technological competences and a strong base of skilled labor, is quite
capable to master the current challenges, we are full of confidence for
their development” the prime minister stressed.
Wen said China aimed to double German-Chinese trade volumes in five
years.
