China People’s Daily: Chinese local governments are wasting resources on building new towns

A People’s Daily editorial says Chinese local governments are wasting resources building “ghost towns”, urging the central government to restrict such building.

In the short-term this is a negative for the AUD, but in the longer term maybe not if resources get put toward more productive uses.
