LONDON (MNI) – UK house prices fell 0.1% in February but were still
7.4% higher on the year, ‘Communities and Local Government’ announced
today.
The CLG said that prices were 2.9% higher in December-February
compared with the previous 3-month period.
The data are in line with other survey indications that the UK
house market became more subdued at the start of this year, due to the
ending of stamp duty relief on lower-priced homes with the cold spell
seen during the early months of 2010 also seen as a factor.
