A few people have asked me about my holiday.
It was great!
The weather was a bit cold (its winter in Australia) and a bit wet.
I had a staycation, but luckily I am very close to the beach, so apart from doing a number of chores and errands I had to cath up on I got down to the beach nearly very day.
Somedays it was just to a café.
I had plenty of 'Cake by the Ocean'. Apparently that's a euphemism for something else amongst the young people :-D
But for me it actually meant

the ocean (bay, actually) ... with coffee (tea if it was late in the day)

ps. the Coastal Studies Unit at the University of Sydney has counted 10,685 beaches in Australia ... if you want a beach holiday, get over here - the northern parts of Oz are still very pleasant weather-wise at this time of year
