Corbyn: Labour policy is that we are prepared to have a second public vote
Further comments by Labour party leader, Jeremy Corbyn
- Was only informed about government thinking on indicative votes this week
- Says will vote accordingly on indicative votes
- Could support an option of a permanent customs union
The idea of a second referendum is reportedly the main issue as to why talks broke down between the government and Labour. A UK government source is out saying that both sides were able to reach some common ground on a customs union but the split on referendum played a big part in the talks failure.
Reckon they forgot to mention the part that May is soon heading for the exit door also being a big factor.
