Deleveraging by European banks picking up pace

Bloomberg reports Deutsche Bank is looking at selling its big asset management business. SocGen announced today it is selling several businesses. The are not alone. Bank after bank across Europe is doing the same. That is one reason why euro has not collapsed. Those funds generated by overseas asset sales are being returned to Europe to shore-up the balance sheets of the big banks.
