They love a bit of QE and easy monetary policy do the Germans ;-)
Draghi is leaving the relative safety of ECB Frankfurt HQ to nip over to Eschborn to speak at the Deutsche Borse new year's reception. No doubt he'll be dodging Germans throwing rotten eggs and vegetables after his announcement that the ECB would look to act again in March. Most of that will probably come from Buba's Jens Weidmann who'll be in disguise wearing a false moustache and glasses
I don't know if there will be any live feeds from the event but the text of his speech will be released on the ECB website and we'll get the headlines of it as usual
That's late in the day at 18.00 GMT so until then we'll just have to make do with the Dallas Fed's manufacturing data at 14.30 15.30GMT
At 14.45 we'll see if last week's reports of increased ABS buying by the ECB were true as we get the latest QE numbers
ECB's Sabine Lautenschlaeger is up in EU parliament at 17.30 GMT. She's speaking on draft regulation on the collection of granular credit and credit risk data. Sounds like a throbber
