It is holiday time: Market holidays this week, and in about an hour I’ll be joining in!
- The only thing to be aware of today is at 0500 GMT, when the Bank of Japan (BOJ) monthly economic report (summary version, full text released on the 25th) comes out. Officially known as the “Monthly Report of Recent Economic and Financial Developments (December, Summary)”.
- Also today the Japanese Cabinet is set to approve the 2014 Budget.
Markets are going to wind down today, most trading desks are short-staffed. If you want to play there can still be some movement, but a bit of rest and relaxation can be very helpful too.
