Comments from ECB governing council member Ewald Nowotny
The ECB is considering restrictions on initial coin offerings because the marketing is "dangerous and deeply dubious", according to the ECB's Nowotny, who spoke with the Austrian magazine Trend.
Draghi last month said it wasn't in the ECB's power to prohibit or regulate Bitcoin but the ICO market might be a different story. Still, it's not clear what powers they have because tokens fall into a securities grey area.
