ECB's Nowotny: ECB should look through oil-price impact on inflation

Nowotny is also the Austrian central bank governor, and earlier they released some forecasts on the Austrian economy. It's likely he's speaking about that more than on the ECB.

Yup, nothing more from Nowotny. Just a general comment I guess since Draghi did not talk about the inflation topic in yesterday's Q&A. Nothing much really.

Earlier, the Austrian National Bank released some GDP/inflation forecasts as per below:

2017 GDP 3.1% (vs 2.2% in June)
2018 GDP 2.8% (vs 1.7% in June)
2017 inflation 2.2% (vs 2.0% in June)
2018 inflation 2.1% (vs 1.8% in June)

A higher revision on both counts as Eurozone optimism continues to lead to better forecasts. Earlier, we had the Bundesbank release their forecasts for the German economy here.
