FRANKFURT (MNI) – European Central Bank Governing Council member
Ewald Nowotny on Thursday was voted the newest member of the European
Systemic Risk Board’s steering committee, the Austrian National Bank
said.
The president of the Austrian central bank was elected at a meeting
of the ESRB here. He joins ECB President Mario Draghi, Vice President
Vitor Constancio, Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann and Bank of Italy
Governor Ignazio Visco as ECB representatives on the committee.
