2100 GMT New Zealand - The government's 6 month financial statements (half way through the NZ fiscal year ... expect more good news!)


2150 GMT - Speech by Reserve Bank of Australia's Luci Ellis, Assistant Governor (Economic), at the ABE Forecasting conference, Sydney


2330 GMT - Australia - weekly consumer confidence

ANZ Roy Morgan weekly survey of consumer sentiment   

  • prior was 122.7, up 1.5% on the week


2350 GMT - Japan - PPI January

Japan was on holiday Monday. Back today

For this data point:

  • PPI expected 0.3% m/m, prior 0.2%
  • PPI expected 2.7% y/y, prior 3.1%

Some inflation at the producer level, and of course still very subdued and way below target at the consumer level


0030 GMT - Australia - National Australia Bank Business Survey for January

The NAB conduct a business survey once a month and then also a separate survey once a quarter. Last week we got the Q4 survey (most leading indicators improved in Q4) and today it's the first for 2018
