Some light data points in the calendar day ahead
Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get things going later in European trading. Markets are starting to pick up on the day now with heavy losses being seen in Japanese stocks as Asian equities are moving lower after the lunch break. Looks like the trade euphoria is starting to fade a little as the yen is picking up some decent gains on the day now.
The session ahead has a couple of economic releases but none are expected to have a material impact on markets given current circumstances.
0745 GMT - France year-to-date October budget balance
Prior release can be found here. An indication of the government's income and spending total. Low-tier data.
0815 GMT - Switzerland November CPI figures
Prior report can be found here. An indication of inflation in the Swiss economy, which has been holding rather steady recently. Nothing that will truly alter the SNB's inflation outlook yet.
0930 GMT - UK November construction PMI
Prior release can be found here. Much like the manufacturing print yesterday, the release here isn't really a major one as the focus for the pound remains on Brexit and the UK economy relies more heavily on the services sector.
1000 GMT - Eurozone October PPI figures
Prior report can be found here. A rough gauge of inflationary pressures in the Eurozone economy but a lagging data point. We already had CPI figures for November last week so the release here doesn't matter all too much.
That's all for the session ahead, I wish you all the best of days to come and good luck with your trading!
