Economic data due from China today is the Markit Flash Manufacturing PMI for June
The 'flash' is the preliminary reading
Due at 0145GMT
- expected is 49.4
- prior was 49.2
Analysts expect this month's result to lift from the previous month, as there have been some tentative signs of bottoming out. It would be wise not to ignore the downside risks, though, debt-laden property and the freshly volatile stockmarket are present.

Note ... this is no longer the 'HSBC' PMI ... HSBC have lost the naming rights, or whatever you'd like to call it, sponsorship? Whatever it is, its now just the Markit China PMI, HSBC are no longer involved in the distribution.
