US equities opened a shade higher, but not as high as the futures markets implied. Those early gains are evaporating as we write. Commodities are giving us few cues so far, consolidating recent gains in quiet trade. Gold is just below $1050 and oil is little changed around $78.50.
EUR/USD has dipped back to the 1.4905 area. Bids are seen solid down at 1.4870 near-term.
