EU reportedly looking to finalise leading candidate for IMF chief position by Friday

It is said that French finance minister, Bruno Le Maire, has called a telephone conference with his peers for lunchtime today with a view to having a consensus decision on a single EU candidate for the IMF top job by Friday lunchtime.
