Greek govt official says EC and IMF don't have united negotiating position.

  • Greek govt official says IMF won't go further on pension and labour market reforms but is more flexible on primary surplus
  • European Commission won't go further on primary surplus but is milder on pension and labour issues
  • IMF wants a haircut on Greek debt but European Commission is against it
  • Responsibility for failure in reaching compromise belongs completely to EU, IMF institutions

This is certainly an interesting development but you have to consider the source. Greece may be trying to share the blame for a failure in talks.
