Comments by European Commission chief spokesman Margaritis Schinas

  • Reiterates that no further discussions on Brexit will take place ahead of Wednesday
  • Says that Barnier may brief the commission on Brexit some time this week
  • Several key issues still unresolved on Brexit

A flurry of Brexit headlines are making its way through the wires at the moment. But the gist of it is that there isn't any planned talks to be had ahead of the summit in Brussels on Wednesday and that there are still sticking points in negotiations between the EU and the UK.

Also, UK Brexit secretary Dominic Raab is said to be putting out a written statement in parliament later today as well. The headline came across Bloomberg but I've not been able to pin in out on the parliament schedule so keep your eyes and ears peeled just in case.
