Some indices are higher and some are lower

The major European stock indices are ending the session with mixed results:

  • German DAX, -0.2%
  • France's CAC, +0.3%
  • UK's FTSE, +0.4%
  • Spain's Ibex, -0.2%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB, -0.21%

In the 10 year note sector, the benchmark yields are all lower. Below are changes and ranges for the major country 10 year yields:

  • spot gold is up $1.34 or 0.10% at $1321.30
  • WTI crude oil futures are up $.95 or 1.77% $55.18

In the US stock market major indices are trading near high levels for the day:

  • S&P indexes up 20 points or 0.74% at 2700.86
  • NASDAQ composite index is up 96 points or 1.34% at 7279
  • Dow industrial average is still down -50 points or -0.21% at 24962

Finally in the forex, market, the AUD and NZD remain the strongest currencies of the day. The EUR has just pushed lower with the EURUSD testing its 100 day MA at 1.1445 and is now the weakest currency of the day.

The USD is mostly lower with declines mostly against the AUD and NZD. IT is higher vs. the EUR.
