European stocks end the session lower

Gains from yesterday don't extend to trading today

The major European stock indices are ending the day in the red:

  • German DAX fell -0.6%
  • France's CAC fell -0.5%
  • UK FTSE fell -0.1%
  • Spain Ibex fell -1.17%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB fell -1.3%
  • Portugal's PSI20 fell -0.3%
In the 10 year note sector yields were mostly higher. Germany bucked the trend with a small decline in yields:
  • Germany 0.745%, -1.1 basis point
  • France 0.993%, unchanged
  • UK 1.614%, up 1.3 basis points
  • Italy 2.085%, +4.9 basis points
  • Spain 1.526%, up 4.4 basis points
  • Portugal 2.14% up 6 basis points
  • Greece 4.39%, up 10 basis points
