Portugal leads the way after credit upgrade
S&P upped Portugal to investment grade on Friday and that has helped the Portuguese PSI20 rise by 1.49%. The yield on Portugal 10 year debt is also sharply lower, falling to 2.443%, down 36 bps on the day.
The other major indices also rose but at a more subdued pace:
- German Dax is ending up 0.4%
- France's Cac is up 0.3%
- UK's FTSE is up 0.6%
- Spain's Ibex is up 0.2%
- Italy's FTSE MIB is up 0.61%
In the 10 year sector, yields are mixed:
- Germany 0.456%, up 2.4 bp
- France 0.730%, up 2 bp
- UK 1.307%, unchanged
- Spain 1.59%, down -2 bp
- Italy 2.075%, unchanged
- Greece 5.464%, up 2.7 bp
