Relatively mild positive tones observed in early trades
- German DAX futures +0.2%
- French CAC 40 futures +0.1%
- UK FTSE futures +0.1%
One of the focal points in European trading today is likely to be the reaction to the appointment of Christine Lagarde as the next ECB president. There's plenty of talk that she'll be more reserved and may allude to more easing measures down the road so I reckon that's helping to give equities a mild boost to start the morning.
Meanwhile, bond yields are falling once again with 10-year yields in Germany and France having touched fresh record lows again at the open now.
