Some jitters still seen in early trades for European investors
Given the turnaround we're seeing in Asian stocks, it feels like markets will be starting to shrug off the negative tones from the US tariffs announcement pretty quickly. The Shanghai Composite and Hang Seng index are at session highs up by 1.3% and 0.2% respectively on the day.
US 10-year yields are also inching higher and is now back at the 3% handle. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures are also virtually flat on the day now recovering from early morning losses of 0.4%.
That sets up for a more positive tone when the cash equity market opens later in just under an hour.
