Looks like it's going to be another soggy day in the equities market by the look of things. The Nikkei closed the day earlier with a loss of 1.07%, while the Hang Seng is currently down by 1.18% on the day.
China's equity indices may be bucking the trend, but let's not forget that they have catch up to do as markets only reopened today. The Shanghai Composite closed the day 2.17% higher, while the CSI 300 index closed the day 2.16% higher.
Meanwhile, Barclays have released their FY 2017 earnings report. They increased 2018 dividends to 6.5 pence per share, compared with last year's 3 pence per share - the first increase since they cut the payout 2 years ago.
