Softer tones in early trades

The drag is more pronounced in Europe, after the cash market closed modestly lower yesterday - missing out on the late drop in US equities.
In any case, overall risk sentiment is tilted towards the softer side as we get things underway with US futures also down by roughly 0.5% at the moment.
