Eurozone November trade balance €19.2 billion vs €22.0 billion expected

Author: Justin Low | Category: News

Latest data released by Eurostat - 15 January 2020

  • Prior €24.5 billion; revised to €24.0 billion
  • Non-seasonally adjusted trade balance €20.7 billion
  • Prior €28.0 billion
The trade surplus shrinks a little as exports declined by 2.8% on the month while imports fell by 0.5% on the month in November. This all still points to a mixed picture in trade conditions within the euro area economy, matching the subdued economy activity last year.
