Picture this:
It's Wednesday morning and you're on your way to work in Indiana then out of nowhere the doors on an armored truck fly open and bags of cash start flying out.
The driver of the truck, evidently, doesn't even notice until another driver flags him down.
What do you do?
If you're like just about every person alive you start picking up money. Here's a Facebook live video of the scene.
Not so fast, police say.
They estimate that $600,000 was lost and if you happen to have it, you might be charged with theft.
I'm not a lawyer, but I think I would have a pretty good defense. It would be something like this, "I saw money on the side of the highway, I didn't know where it came from."
It can't be a crime to pick up money on the side of the road.
