Event was scheduled to take place in San Francisco next month
It's a brutal time for live event businesses. Earlier this week, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was cancelled. That's likely the largest commercial event in the world and the budget is undoubtedly over a billion with much more in spinoffs.
It could be a very rough year for live events, hotels, airlines and tourism. Of course, that all depends on how quickly officials can contain and eliminate the virus; or if they can at all.
