International investigators were denied access to the MH17 crash site today due to renewed/increased fighting in the vicinity. Promises had previously been given by the separatists that they would be allowed in.

Alexander Hug, deputy head for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) monitoring mission in Ukraine, told reporters:

We heard indications there’s fighting going on.

The situation on the ground appears to be unsafe … we therefore decided to deploy tomorrow morning.
