The poor Spanish bond auction saw the EUR tumble quite quickly and raises the possibility that the recent ‘holiday’ for the EUR might be coming to an end. The bearish momentum failed to take hold with traders probably reluctant to add to risk pre-long weekend. Most of the other majors are where we left them yesterday afternoon.
China’s financial markets will be open again after a 3-day holiday and there will be some data worth watching later in the session.
Good luck today.
