EUR/USD closed in NY on Friday around 1.4300 and is currently trading at 1.4270. The Greek debt situation remains the focus; the Greek PM called on his countrymen to accept further austerity measures in order to avert a ‘catastrophic’ default and EU FinMins began a two day meeting late on Sunday.
Elsewhere in the majors, cable is at 1.6170, USD/JPY at 80.20, AUD/USD at 1.0600 and USD/CHF is trading at .8495.
