Merkel and Trump are in a war of words
The German foreign minister said it's not appropriate to communicate with US from a beer tent and over Twitter.
On the weekend, Merkel criticized Trump at a party rally in a beer tent. Trump has hit back on Twitter. He lamented the German trade surplus and low contributions to NATO today.
The foreign minister said it's currently a difficult situation with the US but also said relations will improve again.
