The Bild newspaper is reporting that new car sales in Germany fell by around half in September from August as the fund subsidising a scrappage scheme for old cars ran out of money.
The paper quotes BVfK head Ansgar Klein as saying “We have an absolute demand gap for small and low-cost cars.” Not very encouraging news, to say the least.
