BERLIN (MNI) – The German Finance Ministry sees total tax revenue
around E5 billion above previous estimates both this year and next,
German weekly Der Spiegel reported Sunday.

The ministry now expects federal, regional and local tax revenue of
E597 billion this year and E618 billion next year, according to the
magazine.

The better tax revenue outlook is mainly due to the strong economy
and higher wage increases, Der Spiegel said.
