The 7-day incidence rate climbs further to 140.9

Germany

The daily case count still appears to be lagging but we'll only get more confirmation of that later in the day, as the 7-day incidence rate keeps higher - also partly due to base effect adjustments as the lower count from Easter Monday last week is phased out.

Total active cases across the country is seen at ~243,400 as of the latest update.

Meanwhile, healthcare capacity remains stretched but there was some improvement relative to last Friday at least (may not be helped by increase in deaths).

Germany

As of yesterday, there were 4,662 (+77) virus patients requiring intensive care with there being just 3,275 (14%) intensive care beds still available across the country. Nonetheless, the trend remains rather worrying as seen from the graph above.
