The 7-day incidence rate rises further to 72.4

Germany

This isn't quite a comforting sign as Germany looks to try and relax restrictions further after having been in lockdown since November. Total active cases creep a little higher to ~127,100 while total deaths increased to 73,062 persons.

Of note, the 7-day incidence rate has increased from 69.1 yesterday (as seen below) to 72.4 today. Here's a snapshot of how that varies across different states:

Just take note that the key threshold is 50.0 as German authorities will only allow for looser restrictions if states/regions are able to meet that figure or lower.

In terms of healthcare capacity, there were 2,759 (-26) virus patients requiring intensive care as of yesterday with there being 3,645 (15%) intensive care beds still available.
