The daily case count keeps under 10,000 for a sixth straight day
That provides some encouragement as active cases across the country fall further to ~129,700 - the lowest since 28 October last year. That said, the death count could still look better as the 560 deaths brings the total tally to 66,164 persons.
In terms of healthcare capacity, there were 3,352 (-87) virus patients requiring intensive care as of yesterday with there being 4,618 (17%) intensive care beds still available.
In that regard, lawmakers may argue that the trend in medical capacity has to show further improvement if Germany plans to ease restrictions in the next month or so.
