Germany to lag Eurozone growth in 2019 and 2020 - survey

Bloomberg's latest survey shows that economists believe Germany's robust growth will fail to keep up with the Eurozone as a whole

  • Q1 2018 GDP forecast +0.6% q/q - unchanged vs prior
  • Q2 2018 GDP forecast +0.6% q/q - unchanged vs prior
  • 2019 GDP forecast +1.9% y/y
  • 2020 GDP forecast +1.5% y/y
The "good news" is that economists still see the German economy to grow by 2.4% this year - the fastest in seven years - despite the slower start in Q1.
