- Brexit was a wake-up call
Ok so Mr Happy isn't known for his glass-half-full approach to most things but these comments come on top of the EIB president yesterday saying "the position of Europe in the world is at risk".
Problem is, what are they going to do to fix it ? And will the teflon coated euro even care?
- unrealistic to work for amendment to EU primary law
- must show that the EU can solve problems that its members can't
Eh ?
- must move toward strengthening EU foreign policy
- doubts US commitment to EU will rise after US election
- can be more efficient fighting youth jobless in EU
Would be good if they can solve that one.
