Shanghai composite continues its 2015 surge
All the major global stock indices recorded higher levels in trading this week.
The largest gainer was the Shanghai composite. This index surged by 5.45% in the current week and is up 24.72% on the year. There was more coverage in the news about the bubble-like advances in the Chinese stock markets. The Shenzhen Composite index (not shown) is up 51.86% in 2015 alone and 97.51% from a year ago.
In Europe, the UK FTSE is up 4.12% on the week. The Spanish IBEX was the laggard at only a 1.55% increase (getting greedy).
In the US, the Nasdaq rose by 2.23%, while the S&P rose 1.7% and the Dow advanced by 1.66%.
Below is a summary of the changes for the week.
